Heroes

Hello everyone

The subject of this week's lesson is heroes. Write a post on your blog about someone you think is/was a hero.

You can write about someone from your country, or about a person you particularly admire for some reason.

There are lots of different kinds of hero to choose from, in all areas of life: political, social, sporting, artistic, religious, to name just a few. The hero you write about may well be famous, but you might choose to write instead about a friend or family member!

The important thing is that you explain why you think this person is a hero.
What qualities does he/she have that make him/her a hero?
What has this person done that is heroic, in your opinion?

You can include photos and pictures if you wish.

Once you have finished and published your writing, you can comment on what your classmates have written in their posts.

21/05/09

Good morning everyone.

Here are the tasks for today's lesson:

  1. Go to your blog and read the comments I've made on last week's work (news story). I really enjoyed reading your posts, by the way!
  2. Go to other students' blogs and read their news story posts. Make a comment on each post.
  3. Check your own blog and read the comments other students have made. Reply to the comments if you wish.

You have about forty minutes to do this; then we'll get together to discuss the activity for the rest of the lesson.

This week's IT lesson

Hope you're all well. Here's what we're doing this lesson...

You're going to publish a new post on your blog. You have a choice of what to write about:
  1. Write about a recent news story that has interested you. Summarise the news story and then write about your reaction to it. (Your reaction to the news item could be positive or negative.) OR
  2. Write about someone important in your life.

You can include photos (from your file or the internet) in your post if you wish. Good luck!
